    Rules:

  2. "The 8 Nations Tournament" will be played on NetBattle Supremacy.

  3. English will be the official language of the tournament.

  4. Each national team will rally an army of 8 players, divided into 4 couples (+4 substitutes, 1 for each couple) [12 players total].

  5. A substitute can't play against both the players of the other Nation.

  6. Clauses: Sleep Clause, Evasion Clause, OHKO Clause, Self-KO Clause, Freeze Clause, Disallow Spectators (if at least one player agrees).

  7. Banned Pokémon: Mew, Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, Wynaut, Wobbuffet, Latios, Deoxys, Deoxys-A, Deoxys-D, Deoxys-S, Garchomp, Shymin-S, Dialga, Palkia, Darkrai, Manaphy, Giratina, Giratina-O, Arceus.

  8. Pokémon restrictions (banned Pokémons+Items/Moves): Soul Dew Latias, Hypnosis+Brave Bird Crobat, Belly Drum+Aqua Jet Azumarill, Rapid Spin+Haze Tentacruel, Eruption Heatran with a non Quiet Nature (+SpAtk; -Speed), no more than 1 Rotom (Rotom Appliances included).

  9. Banned Items: Focus Band, King's Rock, Scope Lens, Razor Fang, Lucky Punch, Quick Claw, Lax Incense, Brightpower.

  10. The tournament consists of 2 parts; the 4 Nations at the top 4 positions at the end of the first part will be qualified for the second.

  11. The top 6 Nations at the end of the first phase will be automatically able to join the next edition of this tournament.

  12. The first part will be a round robin tournament, while the second will be a double-elimination one. The second part will decree "The 8 Nations Tournament" winner.

  13. First Part:
  14. The 4 couples will play separately against all the other nation couples.

  15. Each point obtained by the couples will form the total point amount of the nation.

  16. Each victory gives 3 points, each loss is 0 pts; a match not played or ended with a tie gives 1 pt.

  17. Each player has 7 days to perform the battle against his opponent.

  18. Each player has to challenge his opponent following the calendar; each date stands for the last day you can challange that opponent (in addition to the calendar match, you can challenge someone you have to play with in the following weeks. On the other side, you can't postpone a match to the next week).

  19. Second Part:
  20. The way a double elimination tournament runs is well explained on WikiPedia.

  21. In the Double Elimination bracket, the first nation will challenge the fourth, and the second will challenge the third.

  22. Players for each Nation will be sorted by points gained in the First Phase.

  23. The players at the same "step" (the first, the second, ..., the eighth for each nation) will play against each other.

  24. That matches will be at the best of three.

  25. The player winner of the whole match (the winner of 2 out of 3 battles), gain 1 point for his Nation.

  26. Substitutes are no more linked to a specific couple, and all substitutes can play in the same match (just once).

  27. The Nation that first reach 5 points is the Winner, and will go on with another match (stated in the bracket), following the rules of a double elimination tournament.

  28. If both Nations gain same points each, the players that gained the highest number of points (in first phase) will have a best of three that will decree the Nation winner.

  29. "My opponent seems vanished" rule is still applyable.

  30. The matches between two Nations are to be played in 7 days (from Monday to Sunday), following the calendar.

  31. If no Nations gain 5 points in the whole week, the Nation winner will be the one with more points.

  32. Check here to see how to join it!
